Battle for Gilneas All-Star
Assault and
Defend 2 bases in a single Battle for Gilneas.
Tips: For this achievement, you
personally have to attack 2 bases and defend 2 bases in one Battle
for Gilneas. Assaulting a base is when you click on a
flag that is either neutral or controlled by the enemy team without
being interrupted. Your team will not automatically control
the node, but begin to control it. Your team will control the
node and have fully captured it unless it is defended by the enemy
(if the base was previously under their control and your team hasn't
yet fully captured it) or attacked by the enemy before your team
gains control of it. Defending a base is when the enemy
assaults a base that your team control's and you successfully click
on the flag before the enemy gains control of the node.
This
achievement can be completed in various ways. For instance,
you can assault one base and wait around for the enemy to attack it
so you can attempt to defend it and attack another second base, or
you can assault 2 bases before attempting to defend any at all.
You can assault one base, move to another and assault that, then
guard that base and hope you can defend it from an enemy attacker.
It is usually easier to attack/assault bases at the beginning of a match
because there is typically nobody defending any of the bases yet.
Run as quick as you can to one of the bases and attempt to assault
it before one of your teammates or an enemy player assaults it.
You may wish to inform your teammates that you plan on capturing a
certain base. This is probably the easiest way to get
one assault out of the way. Then you just have to focus on
which base you plan on assaulting next. Quite often both teams
will fight over one node for the first few minutes of a match.
Typically this is the Waterworks, though not always. If you
notice that the node is still neutral you can run over and help your
team assault it. Try to keep clicking on it if you can.
If your team already controls 2 nodes or the enemy controls 2 nodes
before you've assaulted your two for the achievement, choose one of
them to assault. It is best if you have teammates with you to
assist in attacking or crowd controlling the enemy while you assault
the base. Generally it is more difficult to defend a base
than to assault one. There are several reasons for this.
Your team will usually have defenders guarding the bases it owns so
it's usually really hard for enemies to assault bases in the first
place. You have to be near a base that is assaulted to reach
it in time to defend it, and you also have to successfully defend it
before the enemy fully captures it. Therefore, you should
attempt to defend a base whenever you have the opportunity.
Another way to defend bases for this achievement is to guard one of
the bases your team controls and hide somewhere near the base so
that the enemy cannot see you. Wait for an enemy to assault
the base and you can attempt to defend it. Although you can
attempt this alone, it may be helpful to have a teammate or two with
you in case you have to fight the enemy or crowd control them.
This is similar to the strategy for defending bases in Arathi Basin
but possibly a bit more difficult. There are only 3 bases in
Battle for Gilneas and it is more likely that you will have multiple
enemy players assaulting a base at one time as opposed to just one
or two which often happens in Arathi Basin.

Battle for Gilneas Assassin
Get 10 honorable kills at each of
the bases in a single Battle for Gilneas.
Tips: For this achievement you do not
have to get the killing blow on any enemy players, just be near
enough when one of your teammates kills an enemy to get credit for
an honorable kill.
To receive honorable kills at
a particular base there will need to be enemy deaths there.
You will probably want to go where the battles are taking place.
If your team and the enemy team is fighting over a particular base
you can likely get a few honorable kills from being there.
It's good to track this achievement so you know when you've received
the number of honorable kills needed at each base. To track
this achievement, locate it under your achievement menu (under
Player versus Player, Battle for Gilneas) and check off the "track
this achievement" box.
As soon as you get the required
honorable kills at a certain base move to another one.
If you still need honorable kills at all of the bases or more than
one base, you can choose to move around to where the battles are or
try and defend your node from enemy attackers and earn kills that
way. It may take several attempt/battles to get this
achievement because it can sometimes be hard to get 10 honorable
kills at each of the bases in a single battle.

Battle for Gilneas Perfection
Win the Battle
for Gilneas with a score of
2000 to 0.
Tips: For this achievement, your team
will need to capture and control at least one of the bases while
preventing the enemy team from capturing any base. If the
enemy captures any of the bases at any time they will receive
reinforcements and you will not be able to get this achievement.
Your team does not have to capture all three nodes, or even two of
them. They just have to prevent the enemy team from capturing
any bases.
Keep in mind that the more nodes that your
team controls, the faster the game will go. If your team
assaults all three nodes at the beginning of a match and
successfully gain control and defend them, the game will pretty much
end before the enemy has a chance to do much. Just make sure
your team defends properly and keeps the enemy from assaulting any of
the bases.

Bustin' Caps to Make it Haps
Take 50 flags from
the opposing team in the Battle for Gilneas.
Tips: This achievement does not have to
be completed in a single battle, it can be completed over several
battles. To earn this achievement you have to personally
attack 50 bases (take 50 flags). You only have to assault them,
you do not have to fully capture them. Defending nodes
(taking the node back after an enemy attacks it and before they gain
full control of it) do not count as attacking or assaulting nodes.
To assault (or defend) a node, just click on the flag without being
interrupted.
To earn this achievement as quickly as possible
you can attempt to be the first one out of your team's base when the
battle begins and assault the base closest to you (Mines if you are
horde and Lighthouse if you are alliance).

Don't Get Cocky Kid
Overcome a 500
resource disadvantage in a match of the Battle for Gilneas and claim
victory.
Tips: This achievement can be difficult
to obtain but it can also be very easy. Sometimes you just get
lucky.
The best way to do this (purposely) is to let the
enemy team take 2 of the nodes right at the beginning of the match.
Once the enemy team gets 500 more resources than your team, capture
a 2nd node and hold on to it. With the 2 nodes you will be
able to catch up in resources and win the match. You can not
let the enemy team get to far above 500 extra resources or you may
not be able to catch up.

Double Rainbow
Perform a /gasp
emote under the double rainbow in the battle for Gilneas.
Tips: The rainbow is located on the
eastern side of the map. It is slightly northeast of the
Waterworks. You can reach it by swimming up the stream.
Swim east, up to the rocks at the end, and you will be underneath the
rainbow. Type in "/gasp" once you are there to get this
achievement.
You can also run along the river until you reach
the end and can reach the underneath of the rainbow.

Full Coverage
Win 10 Battles of Gilneas while controlling all 3
flags.
Tips: To earn this achievement
you need to have won 10 Battle for Gilneas battles while your team
was controlling all 3 nodes at the same time at THE END of the
match. It does not count if your team controls all 3 and then
loses a node, or if your team does not fully control a node (i.e. it
was attacked but your team did not control it before the timer ran
out). Your team must fully control all 3 nodes at the end of
the match.

Newbs to Plowshares
Win the Battle
for Gilneas in 6 minutes.
Tips: It doesn't matter what the final
score is at the end of the match, as long as your team wins the
match within 6 minutes.
The more nodes that a team controls
at any given time, the faster that team's score goes up and the
faster the game ends. Your team will need to attempt to
capture all three nodes as quickly as possible to earn this
achievement. There are several ways to go about doing this.

Not Your Average PUG'er
Come to the
defense of a base in the Battle for Gilneas 50 times by recapping
the flag .
Tips: This achievement is done over the
course of multiple battles. It is very unlikely that you can
achieve this in one battle.
This achievement follows the same
principle as other achievements in which you need to defend bases.

One Two Three you Don't Know About Me
Assault 3 bases
in a single battle for Gilneas.
Tips: You do not have to assault three
separate bases to get this achievement, just three bases in total.
You can assault the same base three times so long as it was taken by
the enemy, giving you to ability to assault it. You can
assault a base as long as it is neutral or controlled by the enemy.
Attempt to assault bases that are undefended or bases in whish your
team is fighting and you have a chance to capture it. Assault
the base by clicking on it until it captures. Keep checking
your map for available bases to assault (those controlled by the
enemy team). If there are not many bases available to assault,
attempt to leave your team's bases undefended so that the enemy has
a chance to capture one, giving you the opportunity to capture it
afterwards.

Out of the Fog
Defend 3 bases in
a single Battle for Gilneas.
Tips:
In most cases, it is much
more difficult to defend a base than it is to assault one. If
the enemy assaults one of your bases, it typically (but not always) means that they
killed your teammates that were guarding the node. It is also
likely that there will be a large number of them there waiting for
the node to fully capture. This makes it quite difficult to
get to the node in time to defend it and have it count towards the
achievement.
Sometimes the enemy team will ninja-cap the flag
while your teammates guarding the node are still alive. This
circumstance makes it slightly easier to defend the flag because,
although there will probably be enemy players attempting to hit
cappers, most players will likely still be focused on the battle at
the node. If this occurs, do whatever you can to recapture/
defend the node. Attempt to stand as far away from the flag as
you can with still being able to click on it. The further away
you can stand from the flag, the better. The AOE will not hit
you as much as if you were standing on top of the flag.
Your
main focus while trying to earn this achievement is to defend flags.
It may be selfish, but this takes priority over protecting your
teammates or your team's nodes. Try to pay attention to
nodes that are attacked by enemies so you can run there
a.s.a.p. and attempt to defend it.
If you are the only one
guarding a node, you can choose to allow the enemy to assault it
which will give you the chance to defend it. To help out, you
can call incoming just in case you have troubles taking the node
back yourself.
