For Whom the Barad Tols
Attack Tol Barad
and succeed in 10 minutes or less.
Tips: This achievement can only be earned
when your team is attacking, not defending (just like it states in
the achievements requirements).
Remember that the attacking
team needs to fully capture all three locations (Ironclad Garrison,
Warden's Vigil, and Slagworks) in order to win the battle.
Because this achievement requires a win in under 10 minutes, there
is no need for players to attempt to knock down towers.
Knocking down the towers adds time to the battle that is unneeded
for this achievement. Additionally, if players are occupied
with destroying towers, they are not assisting with capturing the
three locations. The more people your team has to help with
any of these locations, the better the chance they have of capturing
each.
Your team should remain as grouped up as possible
regardless of where they may be or may be headed to. This does
not mean just one large group. Although there are many ways
this battle can be won while attacking, it is typically best to keep
larger sized groups. This could mean one huge group and two
smaller ones, three somewhat equal sized groups, or two large groups
and a small group used as a defending group, for instance.
There should always be some players at each of the three locations.
If one of the areas is left unguarded it can be taken easily by the
enemy and will take extra effort to get it back. Depending on
the size of your team, you may want to leave about 10% (very rough
number) on defense at a particular location. Typically, the
areas that you will leave a small group to defend is an area that
your team just battled at and was able to capture. The enemy
will usually leave this area once defeated and attempt to defend
another location. The defenders need to communicate if they
are not able to hold off the enemy and need assistance. It is
also a good idea to communicate incoming enemies regardless because
it gives your team an idea of how many less players they will have
to deal with at the other locations.
The enemy team typically
will only "zerg" one location at a time. If the other two
locations are captured and defended, the remaining attackers need to
get to the last base and fight with all they have. Players can
often anticipate which areas will be zerged next. Try to look
out for and be aware of this. You will likely not be
able to form a strategy before the match as you do not know which
locations the enemy will be. The battle for Tol Barad tends to
involve a lot of on-the-fly coordination and team work3.

Master of Tol Barad
Complete the Tol
Barad achievements listed below. |

|
 |
Pit Lord Argaloth
Defeat the Pit
Lord Argaloth.
Tips: Pit Lord Argaloth is a raid boss
located in the Tol Barad/ Baradin Hold raid instance. The
instance is located just outside of Baradin Hold in the Northwestern
corner.
For this fight, the raid should separate into two
groups, one on either side of Argaloth. One tank and at least
one healer should be placed with each of the groups. He
performs a Meteor Smash which deal 200,000 damage spread evenly amongst targets in
front of him (40,000 damage per player if spread amongst 5 players).
Consuming Darkness is a damage over time ability that
deals between 2,925 and 3,075 initial shadow damage as well as
damage over time.
When Argaloth's health is at 66% and 33% he
will perform a Fel Firestorm ability. Argaloth
will cast fireballs that land in patches on the ground.
Players that stand in the patches will take damage at about 8k + per
tick, so it is imperative that all players are constantly dodging
the patches of fire on the ground. He shoots enough fireballs
that most of the floor will be covered. This phase lasts for
15 seconds and the players can resume as usual.
DPS must be
able to kill the boss within 5 minutes or he will berserk and wipe
the raid.

Tol Barad All-Star
Get 10 honorable
kills at the Ironclad Garrison, Warden's Vigil, and Slagworks.
Tips: For this achievement, you will want
to be preferably where a large battle is taking place so that you
can earn your kills quickly. That is, whether you're defending
or attacking Tol Barad, you should be playing offensively and not
attempting to defend locations. Try to track your kills if
possible so that you know when to leave a location. Once you
get your honor kills at one location, move to another. Once
you receive your honor kills there, move to the last location.
You do not have to get the killing blow on an enemy to get credit
for the kill (or healers would probably never get this achievement),
just be in a raid with and near enough to a player or players that
kill an enemy.

Tol Barad Saboteur
Destroy 20
deployed Siege Engines.
Tips: To complete this achievement you will
need to be on the defending team. Players on the attacking
team can use Siege Engines to destroy the three spires/ towers in
order to lengthen the match. There is a Western tower, an
Eastern tower, and a Southern tower. Players ride the Siege
Engines up the these spires where they can deploy and the Siege
Engine will automatically continue to attack the tower without a
player inside of it.
You may wish to stand at a tower and
wait for Siege Engines to arrive and then destroy them. The
more people you have with you for this the better because the enemy
will likely attack you if you are attacking the vehicle. You
can also check your map to see where Siege Engines may be headed.
They appear as small grey circles on your map and they will
generally be moving.
You do not have to destroy the vehicle
by yourself and you do not have to destroy all 20 within a single
battle.

Tol Barad Veteran
Win 100 battles
for Tol Barad.
Tips: You can be on either the defending
team or the attacking team for this achievement, your team just has
to be successful. This achievement will likely take a long
time to get. There is only a battle once every two hours and
your team has to successfully win a match for it to count towards
this achievement. The more battles you enter the faster you
will obtain this achievement. Remember, winning the battle for
Tol Barad depends on how well your team plays at a whole and you
cannot always control what the outcome will be.

Tol Barad Victory
Win the battle
for Tol Barad.
Tips: You can win the battle by either
successfully defending Tol Barad or successfully attacking Tol
Barad. This achievement depends mostly on how your team works
as a whole rather than what you do as an individual. However,
the better you play as an individual, the better your team's chances
are of winning.

Tower Plower
Destroy a tower
in Tol Barad.
Tips: You will have to be on the attacking team
to get this achievement. Siege Engines are needed to destroy
towers, players cannot use their own personal abilities and attacks
to destroy towers.
Grab one of the vehicles (check out
the MAPS page for Siege Engine locations)
and drive it to one of the three towers. There may be enemy
players defending the towers so be prepared for that. If other
players on your team are attempting to destroy a particular tower,
you may wish to go to that one and help if you believe you have
time. Park the Siege Engine so that it is touching the tower.
You can jump out of the vehicle and have it auto-attack the tower.
This is useful for fighting off enemies that are attempting to
destroy you Siege.

Towers of Power
Destroy 3
deployed Siege Engines in a single Tol Barad battle.
Tips: You will need to be on the
defending team during the battle in order to get this achievement.
That's because only players on the attacking team can drive and
deploy Siege Engines.
Siege Engines can be driven pretty
much anywhere in TB, and you can attempt to destroy one whenever you
see it. The more people attacking the Siege, the quicker it
will die. Although players drive vehicles to various
locations, you will most likely see them near the towers as enemy
players try to destroy the towers with them. You could
attempt to guard the towers and look for ones that are being
attacked. This way, you should have a good chance of running
into one and can attempt to destroy it.
